The Letter Reader

This film tells the story of a boy from Johannesburg, who is sent to live with his grandmother in rural KwaZulu-Natal. While struggling to adapt to his new circumstances, Siyabonga finds joy in reading letters to the members of the village – until he is asked to read a letter that brings bad news.
